Dear
Guest of Chocolat Céleste:
As
both customers of other merchants, as well as business professionals,
we take your privacy as seriously as our own. We will keep you informed of any changes by updating this Privacy Policy web page. We want you to know how Chocolat Céleste handles the information you send us via
the Internet. First, and most importantly, we will never share or sell
your information to outside vendors without your express permission.
Visitor-entered
information. We retain information you provide, such as your registration
information, transaction information and contact information, to provide
you the best possible service. For your security, we do not retain credit card numbers that you enter on our checkout page in the credit card data section. When you send us your email address with an order,
we will use it to contact you in case of questions about your order, to
respond to any emails you may send us, and to provide you updates and special discount
offers. If at any time you decide you do not wish to receive mailings,
we will remove you from our offers list. We will never share your email
address with outside vendors, unless you specifically permit us to do
so. If demanded by law or court order, we may be required to make exceptions
to our policies above.
Data
collection. Our Web server recognizes only a guest's domain name and
browser and platform type (e.g., Firefox browser on a Microsoft platform).
It cannot record your mail address automatically. We use "cookies,"
which are electronic information tags, to help us understand which web
pages are the most useful for our visitors, which click "buttons"
might be more convenient than others, and which pages visitors select for
viewing.
Online security.
We use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and
receiving customer data exchanged with our site server. Children's
on-line privacy. Children may not submit information to us without
the consent of a parent or guardian. The Children's On-Line Privacy Protection
Act, which took effect April 21, 2000, pertains to Web sites directed
toward children under 13 years of age. Last updated October 15, 2007 |
